The plot of the anime is as under:
Upon witnessing a man’s head cracked open with an axe, a 16-year-old teen, Yuri Honjou, trembles in fear and confusion. She flees from the masked assailant and later finds she is trapped in an abandoned building where every door is mysteriously locked.
Yuri runs here and there and even to the rooftop to search for a way out, but soon, she sees herself surrounded by high-rise buildings.
Yuri learns that her brother is also in a strange place, and now she is determined to find him and escape. But things are not very smooth as she comes across more masked murderers in the area, who are anxious to terrorize their newfound victims and satiate their desires, leaving Yuri to question if she and her brother will escape from the situation alive or not.

The first season ended with an intense episode called This is a High-Rise Invasion. Although the updates on the second season are meager, the first season ended on a cliffhanger, making all the fans sure the anime will have its second season.
