Villainess Level 99 Release Date and Details

Isekai is one of the favorite genres of the viewers and the winter of 2024 is set to feature some of the best shows from this genre. One of the most anticipated anime of this year has to be Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss, but I’m Not the Demon Lord. This anime is the adaptation of Sator Tanabata’s light novel of the same name. It is being animated by Jumondou Studios and features Minoru Yamaoka as the director. Satori’s light novel has been illustrated by Tea and published in Japan by Fuijimi Shobo under the Kadokawa Books imprint.

Villainess Level 99 Release Date

The release of the light novel took the whole industry by storm and was much appreciated globally after it was made available in its English language version. Following this, the plans to serialize it into an anime was finalized in February 2020. Consequently, Yamaoka teamed up with the studio Jumondou and planned to premier the anime in 2024.

Villainess Level 99’s synopsis by J-Novel Club is as under: 

Yumiella Dolkness is your run-of-the-mill villainess in an otome RPG—except for the fact that she’s also secretly the overpowered hidden boss. But Yumiella wasn’t always Yumiella, you see. In her past life, she was nothing more than an introverted college student and devout gamer. So when she realizes that she’s been reincarnated as a hidden boss, she’s determined to steer clear of the protagonists and avoid her demise at their hands. All she wants is a nice, quiet life. Too bad when her gamer instincts kick in, Yumiella can’t just ignore her awesome stats… A girl’s gotta grind! So, with plenty of time on her hands before starting life at the academy, she gets a little carried away and maxes out her level at 99. Is there a Trailer for Villainess Level 99 Season 1? 

Before officially releasing its first season, the makers shared a glimpse of this anime by releasing its trailer, which centers on the characters Yumiella Dolkness and Alicia Ehnleit. The trailer also includes other cast and characters you will spot in the subsequent episodes. As soon as the trailer was released, much hype was created among the viewers, who couldn’t help but wait for the official release of the much-anticipated anime.

The makers have not released all the episodes of this anime together. Reportedly, Villainess Level 99 will have a total of 12 episodes in the first season, each released every week. As of now, five episodes have been released, and the viewers cannot wait to watch how the story unveils itself.

  The king summons Yumiella to the castle and has her face off against the knight captain, Adolf, to prove she’s level 99. Yumiella has a private meeting with the queen, who makes an unexpected request.
  
• Season 1, Episode 4 – The Hidden Boss Attends Field Lessons – 30th Jan 2024
  A college girl is reborn as Yumiella, the hidden villainess of an Otome RPG who wants a peaceful life until her game sidekicks in, and she grinds herself to reach level 99.

Where Can I Watch Villainess Level 99? 

The anime is running in full swing in Japan and streaming on various platforms, such as Tokyo MX, MBS, BS11, and AT-X. Crunchyroll has taken the responsibility of releasing it outside of Asian territories, and you can stream the anime on the same platform.
