This thought came into the minds of Studio Colorido, who planned to release a movie revolving around cats. As a result, A Whisker Away came into being! The film was originally slated for a theatrical release in Japan in June 2020.

At the end of the movie, all the resentful cats that the mask-seller has turned into cats come to the rescue, and Miyo is finally turned into a human. She and Hinode confess their feelings for each other and become a happy couple. “The new work I am currently planning is a story about a little mysterious love story that takes place during one winter. I want to deliver a work that will be a cheering song for boys and girls, carefully depicting the extraordinary things that come suddenly in their daily lives and the emotional growth of the characters.
